Turning the devices off and on doesn’t trigger reconnection. Then after another 10-20 seconds (but some times up to 2 minutes!!!) another translucent popup comes up with “Keyboard/Mouse Connected”, and functionality resumes.Ī Reboot/Restart doesn’t help. Then the translucent popup of “Keybord/Mouse Disconnected” will come up, and fade automatically. The symptoms are like this: For 10-20 seconds a device won’t respond (either the mouse or the keyboard - almost never together). Both are new, and almost fully charged, they are about 30 cm from the iMac. My Mac loses connection to its Apple Magic Keyboard 2 and its Apple Magic Mouse 2. I cannot spot anything really suspicious on the system - but maybe I need to look for some specific System log file or something.

I'm attaching a full EtreCheck report on my system. Switching the device off then on, Re-pairing BlueTooth, etc.) Then - without any intervention, the other translucent popover window appears, reporting me that "Keyboard (or Mouse) Connected" and all is working again. Then - for some time, usually 10-30 seconds, but I already experienced few minutes - there is no way to make it connect again (including restart/reboot of the Mac. Then the known translucent pop-over window comes up telling me the device disconnected.

Once in a while (I'd say few times a week) It would randomly lose connection with either the Apple Magic Keyboard 2, or the Apple Magic Mouse 2.įirst - the device would stop responding for 10-20 seconds. My iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015) exhibits intermittent and very annoying behavior.
